For the Filling:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp mustard (optional)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
For the Dough:
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
For the Garlic Parmesan Topping:
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef Filling:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Add the onion and garlic. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, mustard (optional), salt, and pepper. Cook for another 1–2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Mix in the shredded cheese.
- Assemble the Bombs:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Flatten each biscuit round with your hands or a rolling pin.
- Place 1–2 tablespoons of the filling in the center of each dough round.
- Fold the dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal. Roll gently to form a smooth ball.
- Add the Garlic Parmesan Topping:
- Mix melted butter, minced garlic, and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl.
- Place the bombs seam-side down on the baking sheet.
- Brush generously with the garlic Parmesan mixture.
- Bake:
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Sprinkle with parsley (optional) and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, add crumbled bacon to the filling.
- For a spicy kick, include cayenne pepper or diced jalapeños.
- Use ground turkey or plant-based meat for variations.
- These bombs can be prepared ahead or frozen before baking.
