- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups (250g) all-purpose flour

- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/4 cups (200g) semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread cookie dough evenly into prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until edges are golden brown and center is still soft.
- Cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least one hour before serving or decorating.
Notes
For best results, chill dough for 1-3 days before baking for enhanced flavor.
